  • 1 large Egg Beaten
  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 2 tbsp Flour All-purpose
  • 2 cups Beef broth Low sodium preferred
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Method

Prepare Meatballs
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, beaten egg, salt, black pepper, allspice, and nutmeg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Brown the meatballs on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Make Creamy Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
  2. Gradually whisk in beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  3. Add heavy cream, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes.
Combine and Serve
  1. Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for an additional 10 minutes.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
