Ingredients
  

Pasta and Beef
  • 8 oz Pasta (penne or rotini) Uncooked
  • 1 lb Ground beef Lean preferred
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup Beef broth Low sodium preferred
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
Vegetables
  • 1 cup Frozen peas Optional
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes Halved, optional

Method
 

Cook the Pasta
  1. In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
Add Seasonings
  1. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Add the heavy cream and stir until well combined.
  2. Add the cooked pasta, peas, and cherry tomatoes (if using) to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through for about 3-5 minutes.
Finish the Dish
  1. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.
