Ingredients
  

Margarita Base
  • 8 oz tequila preferably silver
  • 4 oz lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 oz orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1 oz agave syrup adjust to taste
Spice Mix
  • 1 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg ground
  • 1/2 tsp allspice ground
  • 1 tsp sea salt for rimming glasses
Garnish
  • 4 slices lime for garnish
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Spice Rim
  1. Combine the sea salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice on a small plate.
  2. Rub the rim of each glass with a lime wedge and dip into the spice mix to coat.
Mix the Margarita
  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, agave syrup, and ground spices.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Serve
  1. Strain the margarita mixture into the prepared glasses filled with ice.
  2. Garnish each drink with a lime slice and a sprig of rosemary.

Notes
