Prepare the Pork
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
Cook the Pork
- Place the seasoned pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
- Pour barbecue sauce over the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
Prepare the Bowls
- Once the pork is cooked, shred it using two forks and mix it with the barbecue sauce in the slow cooker.
- In serving bowls, layer cooked rice, pulled pork, corn, black beans, shredded cheese, sour cream, green onions, and cilantro.
