Ingredients
  

Tortellini
  • 12 oz fresh cheese tortellini or frozen
Shrimp
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
Garlic Sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
Garnish
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Cook Tortellini
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Garlic Sauce
  1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Cook Shrimp
  1. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and black pepper.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Add the cooked tortellini and toss to coat in the sauce.
Serve
  1. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
