Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil plus more for drizzling
Topping Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt for sprinkling
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for drizzling on top

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
First Rise
  1. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Shape the Focaccia
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet and stretch it out to fit the pan.
  3. Dimple the surface with your fingers and drizzle with olive oil.
Second Rise and Bake
  1. Sprinkle the dough with sea salt and rosemary. Let it rise for another 20 minutes.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Cool and Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing.
  2. Serve warm or at room temperature.
