Ingredients
  

Meat and Vegetables
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 2 cups diced potatoes about 2 medium potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onion about 1 medium onion
  • 1 cup chopped bell pepper any color
Seasonings
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or cheese of choice
Liquid
  • 1 cup beef broth or water

Method
 

Cook the Meat
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Add Vegetables
  1. Add the diced potatoes, chopped onion, and bell pepper to the skillet.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
Cook Until Tender
  1. Cover the skillet and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
Add Cheese
  1. Once the potatoes are tender, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  2. Cover and let it sit for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Serve
  1. Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
