Ingredients
  

Salad Base
  • 4 cups mixed greens such as romaine and iceberg
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup cucumber sliced
  • 1/2 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup black olives sliced
  • 1/2 cup pepperoncini sliced
Dressing
  • 1/2 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Salad
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, black olives, and pepperoncini.
  2. Toss the salad ingredients together until well mixed.
Make the Dressing
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, sugar, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Combine and Serve
  1. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients.
  2. Serve immediately with your favorite breadsticks or as a side dish.
