Ingredients
  

For the Jalapeno Poppers
  • 4 whole Jalapenos sliced in half and seeds removed
  • 4 oz oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese sharp or mild, based on preference
  • 1/2 tsp tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp tsp Onion Powder
For the Pigs in a Blanket
  • 1 package 8 oz Pillsbury Crescent Roll Dough or similar
  • 12 whole Mini Hot Dogs or cocktail sausages
  • 1 egg Egg beaten for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp tsp Sesame Seeds optional, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Jalapeno Poppers
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Stuff each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
Assemble the Pigs in a Blanket
  1. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  2. Place a mini hot dog and a stuffed jalapeno half at the wide end of each triangle.
  3. Roll the dough around the hot dog and jalapeno, starting from the wide end.
  4. Place the wrapped poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
