Homemade Cajun Seafood Boil Recipe with Spicy Garlic Butter

Ingredients
  

Seafood and Sausage
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb crab legs preferably snow or king crab
  • 1 lb Andouille sausage sliced
  • 2 ears corn cut in half
  • 1 lb baby potatoes halved
Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp black pepper freshly ground
Spicy Garlic Butter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Prepare the Seafood Boil
  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the Cajun seasoning, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Once boiling, add the baby potatoes and corn. Cook for about 10 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  3. Add the sliced Andouille sausage and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Finally, add the shrimp and crab legs. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the shrimp are pink and the crab is heated through.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and strain the seafood and vegetables, reserving some of the broth if desired.
Make the Spicy Garlic Butter
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, hot sauce, and chopped parsley. Mix well.
Serve
  1. Arrange the seafood and vegetables on a large platter. Drizzle the spicy garlic butter over the top and serve with lemon wedges.
