Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground lamb or beef
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil plus more for greasing
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried mint
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it with olive oil.
  2. Sauté the onion and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, sautéed onion and garlic, bread crumbs, egg, feta cheese, parsley, oregano, mint, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  4. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs using wet hands and place them on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with tzatziki sauce or in pita wraps.
