Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Create a well in the center and add eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool in the pan before transferring to wire racks.
