  • 1 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth for a vegetarian option
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese for flavor
  • 2 tablespoons butter for sautéing
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning for added flavor
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 cup spinach fresh or wilted
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced, for extra texture
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped, for a tangy flavor

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, whisking to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
  4. If using, add spinach, mushrooms, and sun-dried tomatoes. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Serve the Sauce
  1. Toss the sauce with cooked ravioli until well coated. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.
