Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sausage
  • 12 oz Ditalini pasta or any small pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage removed from casings
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil for cooking sausage
Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Chicken broth low sodium
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Method
 

Cook the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add ditalini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Drain the pasta and set aside.
Prepare the Sausage
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
Make the Creamy Sauce
  1. Add minced garlic to the skillet with the sausage and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the cooked ditalini pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
