  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced (mixed red and green)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients and rinse shrimp under cold water. Pat dry and season with Cajun spice.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat; add garlic and bell peppers. Sauté for about 3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add seasoned shrimp in a single layer; sauté for 3-4 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in uncooked orzo and chicken broth; bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for approximately 10-12 minutes until orzo absorbs most liquid.
  5. Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream until smooth; adjust seasoning if desired.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving hot.
