Ingredients

Chicken Drumsticks
  • 8 pieces chicken drumsticks skin-on, bone-in
Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream for richness
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth low sodium
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Method

Prepare Chicken
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the chicken drumsticks and sear them until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
Make the Sauce
  1. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper, stirring for about 1 minute.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream and mix well, allowing it to thicken slightly for about 3-4 minutes.
Bake
  1. Return the chicken drumsticks to the skillet, coating them in the sauce. Transfer everything to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot with your choice of sides.
