Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries washed and drained
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest freshly grated
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
Crisp Topping
  • 1 cup rolled oats old-fashioned
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans toasted if desired
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ground

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cranberries, sugar, orange zest, orange juice, and cornstarch. Mix well.
  3. Pour the cranberry mixture into a greased baking dish.
Make the Crisp Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, chopped pecans, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  2. Sprinkle the crisp topping evenly over the cranberry filling in the baking dish.
Bake the Crisp
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
