Prepare Chocolate Mixture
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the chopped dark chocolate, stirring until smooth.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously to prevent the eggs from cooking.
Bake the Mixture
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Pour the chocolate mixture into serving dishes and place them in a baking dish filled with hot water (water bath).
- Bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
Serve
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
- Serve chilled topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
