Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
Chicken
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
Sauce
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded Use sharp cheddar for more flavor.
  • 1 cup milk Whole milk recommended.
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce Choose your favorite brand.
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese Softened.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Topping
  • 1 cup bread crumbs Panko preferred for crunch.
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Method
 

Cook Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make Cheese Sauce
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, combine milk, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add shredded cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
Combine Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, mix the cooked macaroni, shredded chicken, and cheese sauce until well combined.
Prepare for Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, combine bread crumbs with melted butter. Sprinkle over the mac and cheese.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
