Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup apple cider preferably fresh
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Pan
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Set aside.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
Combine Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the apple cider, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Bake the Bread
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar topping evenly over the top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  2. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
