  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 48 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded asiago cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 12 lasagna noodles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta (or cottage cheese), eggs, half Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Layer three noodles over the sauce in the baking dish; spread one-third of the cheese mixture over them, followed by layers of mozzarella, asiago, provolone, and meat sauce.
  6. Repeat layering two more times; finish with noodles topped with meat sauce and remaining cheeses.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
  8. Allow to rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
