  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • kosher salt
  • 1 pound ground turkey Italian sausage
  • 28 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 8 no-boil oven-ready lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese (freshly grated)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in olive oil over medium-low heat until softened.
  3. Increase heat, add ground turkey sausage, and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and remove from heat.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  6. Layer meat sauce at the bottom of the dish followed by noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese until all ingredients are used.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
