  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 ¾ cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, breadcrumbs, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form four oval patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms for 7-9 minutes until golden.
  4. Lower heat; add butter and flour to make a roux. Gradually whisk in beef broth and seasonings.
  5. Return patties to the skillet and simmer for another 5-7 minutes until cooked through and gravy thickens.
