Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 Bone-In Chicken Thighs
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Red Onion, sliced
  • 12 Honeycrisp Apples, sliced
  • 3/4 cup Apple Cider
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth or white grape juice
  • 4 tbsps Salted Butter
  • 2 tbsps Dijon Mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, season chicken thighs with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and chopped rosemary.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken thighs skin-side down until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes per side).
  4. Add sliced red onion and Honeycrisp apples around the chicken in the skillet.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove chicken and fruits from the pan; make the sauce by combining butter, apple cider, chicken broth (or white grape juice), Dijon mustard, and minced garlic in the same pan.
  7. Whisk until well combined; return chicken and apples to the pan with sauce before serving.
