  • 16 open cup mushrooms (stalks cut level)
  • 3 tbsp olive or vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
  • 1 ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • 5 tbsp fresh breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400F.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and lightly fry the mushrooms cap-side down for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Arrange the mushrooms in a baking dish with stalks facing up.
  4. In a bowl, combine softened butter, chopped garlic, thyme, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spoon the garlic butter mixture onto each mushroom cap and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
