  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Optional: chili flakes for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Gently wipe the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt.
  2. Slice the mushrooms into uniform pieces for even cooking.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
  6. In a small bowl, mix miso paste and soy sauce with warm water to create a smooth sauce.
  7. Pour the miso sauce over the mushrooms and stir to combine; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Adjust seasoning to taste with more soy sauce or miso if desired; add chili flakes for heat if preferred.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving warm.
