  • 34 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 23 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 810 cranks freshly-ground black pepper
  • sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add broccoli and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp, then set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, brown ground beef with minced garlic for about 5-6 minutes, breaking it into small pieces.
  3. Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper in a bowl.
  4. Pour the sauce over the beef and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened. Stir in the broccoli to coat evenly.
  5. Serve immediately over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
