  • 1/3 cup turbinado or granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 23 cups icing sugar (sifted)
  • 34 tablespoons eggnog (or a non-dairy alternative)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. In another bowl, cream softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in eggs, vanilla extract, and molasses.
  3. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet until just mixed. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
