  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 ¾ cups whole white mushrooms (washed and dried)
  • ¼ cup cream cheese (cut into small cubes)
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp dry ground oregano
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tbsp fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large frying pan, melt the butter with olive oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and whole mushrooms, cooking until tender (about 5 minutes).
  2. Reduce heat to medium; stir in cream cheese cubes until melted.
  3. Lower heat to medium-low and mix in Parmesan cheese, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
