  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Bloom the yeast by combining warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix olive oil, Italian seasoning, minced garlic, and salt in another bowl; add half to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually stir in the flour until well combined.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  6. Prepare a baking dish with remaining oil mixture; spread the risen dough evenly in the dish.
  7. Cut into breadstick shapes and brush with olive oil; sprinkle with garlic powder and salt.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown; brush with olive oil and sprinkle cheese before serving.
