  • 2 large Honeycrisp apples
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp apple pie spice
  • 5 tbsp cinnamon (reserve 1 tbsp for topping)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • Olive oil nonstick spray

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice apples into 1/2-inch thick wedges.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, apple pie spice, and 4 tbsp of cinnamon.
  3. Coat the apple wedges in the flour mixture by shaking them in a container with a lid.
  4. In another bowl, whisk eggs and vanilla extract.
  5. Dredge each wedge in the egg mixture, then return to the flour mix for a second coating.
  6. Combine remaining cinnamon with brown sugar in a small bowl.
  7. Spray air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Arrange the coated wedges in a single layer and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar on top.
  8. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for about 6 minutes; flip halfway through and add more spray and sugar before continuing for another 6 minutes until golden.
