  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 package (150 g) black peppercorn cream cheese
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 jar roasted bell peppers (drained and sliced)
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp salted butter (for frying)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tsp pickled green peppercorns (chopped, optional)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F.
  2. Season the chicken drumsticks with a mix of spices: sweet paprika, thyme, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in an oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the seasoned drumsticks until golden brown on both sides (about 8 minutes per side).
  4. Remove the drumsticks and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until soft.
  5. Stir in ground black pepper and optional green peppercorns; add thyme and oregano before pouring in chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  6. Mix in cream cheese and whole milk along with roasted bell peppers. Return drumsticks to the skillet.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes until fully cooked through.
