  • 4 beef chops
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1/3 cup chicken or beef broth
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take the beef chops out of the fridge 15-30 minutes before cooking and season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and one tablespoon of butter. Sear the beef chops for about 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of butter along with chopped onions. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until soft.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and cream of mushroom soup; stir until smooth.
  5. Return seared beef chops to the skillet, simmering for another 3-5 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Adjust seasoning if needed and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
