  • ¾ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened) for filling

  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (about 7 Oreos) for filling
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened) for frosting
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ⅛ teaspoon sea salt for frosting
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened, 113g)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract for frosting
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk for a runnier frosting)
  • 4 chocolate sandwich cookies (crushed) for topping

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, crushed cookies, and salt; add butter, eggs, vanilla extract, milk, and activated yeast mixture. Stir until combined into a sticky dough.
  3. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and crushed cookies.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle; spread the filling evenly on top.
  6. Roll up tightly and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Let rolls rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. While baking, prepare frosting by mixing softened butter, powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla extract, sea salt, and heavy cream until smooth.
  10. Frost cooled rolls generously and sprinkle with extra crushed cookies before serving.
