  • 2/3 cup butter, melted
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons holiday jimmie sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Stir in melted butter and water until combined. Press into a pie pan and bake until golden.
  2. For the filling, combine sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla.
  3. Cool slightly before mixing in half the jimmies. Pour filling into crust and sprinkle remaining jimmies on top. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 20 minutes.
  4. Chill for at least two hours before serving.
