Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 34 tablespoons non-alcoholic chocolate-flavored syrup or coffee creamer
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup non-alcoholic chocolate-flavored syrup or coffee creamer

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate together until smooth.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted chocolate mixture and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Sift cocoa powder, flour, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  5. While cooling, prepare frosting by beating softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Gradually add non-alcoholic cream substitute while mixing until smooth; fold in chopped chocolate.
  6. Once brownies are cool, frost generously, cut into squares, and serve.
