  • 1 lb turkey bacon (diced)
  • 1 cup diced red onions
  • 1 cup diced jalapeños (remove seeds for milder flavor)
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the diced turkey bacon in a large saucepan over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.
  2. In the same saucepan, leave about one tablespoon of the rendered fat. Add diced red onions, jalapeños, and minced garlic; sauté until the onions are translucent.
  3. Lower the heat and stir in maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, paprika, and cooked turkey bacon. Simmer gently for about an hour, stirring often.
  4. Adjust consistency with water if the jam thickens too much during cooking.
  5. Allow the jam to cool before transferring it into sealable jars. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
