  • 1/8 teaspoon salt (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick softened butter
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup diced apples
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix all crumble topping ingredients until coarse crumbs form; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together dry muffin ingredients.
  4. In a large bowl, blend wet ingredients until smooth.
  5. Gradually add dry mixture into wet ingredients and mix gently.
  6. Fold in diced apples carefully.
  7. Line muffin tins and fill with batter almost to the top.
  8. Sprinkle crumble topping over each muffin generously.
  9. Bake in preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
